CAPE CLASS - patterns, chipboard, ink and ribbon

Here is the class that I am teaching at the Cape next week. What do you think?

The paper is the new K-Ology from K&Co. Along with the ink, ribbon, and chipboard as advertised we are also using rub-ons, sandpaper and paint. Should be lots of fun!

If you are a person taking the class and are checking it out leave a message. I would love to "e-talk" to you before our class. If you have any questions feel free to ask them here as well.

I am pretty happy with the quality of the pictures. We took them outside on my sidewalk with the natural light to try to avoid glare. Hopefully once posted you will still be able to see the details.

Can't wait to see you all at the Cape!

It is so lovely! I like how you turned your corners over and that you have 3 ribbons on each page! The photos came out very nicely - I think you are onto something!

This will be another sellout!!

I'm so glad I'm already signed up! I agree with anonymous, it will definitely sell out!

I'm really bumming... I'm up at the trailer and I still have lots of pictures to take and I forgot my camera! I don't even have my old one! I don't know what I'm going to do, but I'm really thinking of jumping in the car now and flying home to get it, because I still have so many shots to take yet for the projects at the retreat and I'm going crazy that I forgot it!

Anyway, great work on the pages! Tell Mama & Daddy K "Hi" for me if they're still there. I can't believe I'll see you in less than a week. Yay!!! Alright, if I'm running home for my camera, I'd better get rolling along!

Jen, I'm running into trouble finding transparancies. Any suggestions?

I found transparencies at Walmart in the office supplies section. Do you have Walmart in NJ? If not, I think I will be going there this week before the retreat - so I could pick up a pack for you... but if you want them pre-printed that wouldn't help. I would also suggest any office supply store. Don't think scrapbooking, think office supplies. Let me know if you find them.

Did you get your camera for the weekend? Get your halloween shots? I am sooooo looking forward to seeing you!

I was looking at AC Moore and Michael's... Ooops. I checked Office Max online, just to see if they had them, and they did, but only a really huge pack of them, and I don't need that many. I've already typed all the text into MS Word, and then, since I'm not sure of the layouts yet, I'm just going to print them all out together, cut them out and then I can attach each little blurb of text onto its respective page. So I don't think I'll need more than four sheets of them. The pack they had at Office Max was a 50 pack for $40. I didn't want to spend that much, when I really don't need that many sheets. We do have Walmart here, so maybe I'll try to get over there this evening.

The Halloween pictures are taken, I just haven't had much time for posting, because I'm trying to get my stuff together for the retreat, and all my spare time has been devoted to that. I love being here at the trailer and all that, but it drove me nuts last night because I wanted to be home printing out pictures and all that stuff.

Yes, I did go home and get the camera, then the kids and I went to Woodbridge to get my haircut, and came back here and went apple picking. Now I have to do some quick packing up here and that, then I'm going to take the rest of the shots I need before we leave.

The countdown begins... I can't believe it's this week already! Thanks for the tip about Walmart, I'll check them out.

Oh...since it's been awhile and I'm going through withdrawals, I'll leave you with this...

See you soon, my friend

For transparencies, try Staples, if you have one near you.
Jenny, loved the layout...looking forward to the class this weekend.
I have THREE little girls (and one boy-but this layout will be all about the females!)I seldom devote a whole layout to just the three girls.-But the layout is so great I'm sure I'll mimick it in other papers and use it at least 3 diff times...Diane P., Mass.

I only have the two kids, but maybe I can include my DH and make it about my three loves. What do you think?

Hi Diane! It is nice to meet you! I'll bet three girls and a boy really keep you hoppin! Thank you for your comments, I am really glad you liked the page. :)

Hi again Kim - remember that the title for the page is whatever you want it to be. It does not have to be "three". You will have a whole alphabet at your disposal title wise.

Also, when I bought transparencies I only had to buy a pack of 10 and I remember finding the price very reasonable. :)

Thank you both for checking in! Can't wait until Friday!!!!!

See, and I can't wait till Thursday ! ;) I checked at Staples today and I was right, they want $35 for a pack of 50... a bit steep when I only need four. Target didn't have them, (although I picked up my stackable cooling racks). I'm going to try Walmart in the morning, but if that doesn't work, I'm going to print them on regular paper and have Staples copy them onto transparancies. They said for it's under $2 a sheet. I figure if all else fails with getting a small pack, that's they way I should go.

Ok for the non Croppy people out there- I have a dumb question. (Virgin Cropper here!) What do you do with vellum sayings in a book- are they the kind that rub off with that popsicle stick??

Anyways, Jen, there is a retreat that I would like to ask you about. I will call you.
Kimmy
P.S. Love your pics!
