WHY is it that...
Today seems to be a day of pondering, reflecting if you will. Can somebody (and by that I include those of you "lurking" out there and not commenting... no names mentioned or anything M, H, K, D etc.!) ;) please answer the following questions for me????
* Why can I co-exist peacefully with M&Ms yet not with Brownies (I am having to stay totally out of the kitchen!)
* Why is it that all boys seem pre-programmed to find body noises hilarious? Especially when out in public???
* Why do toddlers not pick up the sweet things their siblings do, but quickly repeat the most embarrasing little ditties when out? (for example gurgling in ones throat and SPITTING while in the library?! then laughing about it?!)
* Is it just me, or does it seem like one has to dress up to go shopping in Canton Village??? (i know, only some of you can answer that one)
There is some food for thought for you. Nothing too deep, just light and fluffy.
Oh yes, in case you are wondering, I HAD to quickly write an entry that was not about my LAUNDRY!

Well, this is not really an answer, but just wanted to comment on something that you brought to my attention. I never noticed this before, but I do think for some reason subconsciencely (and I have no idea how to spell that) I do dress differently when going to the shops in Canton that I do when I go to shop anywhere in Torrington. I was going to say Walmart in Torrington, but I think just about anywhere even JC Penney. That is strange. Why does Canton deserve nicer clothes than Torrington? And if we are going to go to LA in March, what the heck will I wear then? I have NO clothes appropriate for LA!!! ACK!!!!
Ok, can't help you with that boy stuff....but may I suggest that the apples don't fall far from the tree??? hum....
(to be clear my dear, I'm not referring to you).
On brownies and M&M's, that is easy. One is hard and is gone quickly while the other has a sensuously soft texture that lingers while it rolls over the taste buds......
Gotta go find some brownies!
Later.

I couldn't help but giggle when you mentioned boys and thier affection for body noises. I guess we never grow out of it...
Jen, I'll tell you, boys are nothing more than little shrunken down men, and they all have a fascination with the things their bodies do, and the noises are best of all, because it's a way they can show other people something their bodies can do. And I don't think they care much whether people actually want to hear the noises or not. They think they're cool, so they make them. From what my boss tells me,(her two boys are in college now) the stuff our sons are doing now, while their younger is nothing compared to what they'll do as teenagers.
And while I've never shopped in Canton, I work in a very snobby town and it sounds like Canton is like that. Some pretty snobby broads around that place, let me tell you.
A disclaimer here... I don't mean to suggest that all Canton women are snobby, anymore than all the women in the town where I work are snobby. But many of them are, and they make those who aren't feel like they need to dress up. At least that's what it's like in the town where I work.
As to the whole chocolate issue... How do you feel about fudge ;)? Do you ever feel the need to sneak downstairs in the middle of the night to have some homemade fudge and milk? Hmmmm, I think there must surely be a haiku in there somewhere. And as to the M&M/Brownie thing, brownies are definitely harder to resist. M&Ms are a favorite of mine, but brownies are, well, brownies for Heaven sakes.
And toddlers must repeat the embarrassing things their older sibs teach them. I think it's their initiation to the club. Just remember this bit of wisdom, courtesy of my darling boss, who's raised four great kids... Your kids might sometimes embarrass you now, but you will be able to embarrass them later, and you'll have alot more years in which to embarrass them then they will have to embarrass you now. That's why I love her, she's always an inspiration and bringer of hope. ;)
Now, I leave you with this...
A refreshing change...
