In No Particular Order

Well since I have a contest going, and this contest requires comments to enter, and the more you comment the more your name gets put in the hat to win, I thought I needed another post. I may try to post from Heather's too... we'll see how it goes.

First of all though, man when your friends know you well.... read Kristin's comment on the last post. I nearly split my seams laughing and it's only 6am! Thank you for the early morning chortle Kristin, how right you are!!!! (ps - in 27 dresses his inner badboyness comes through a bit)

So all this talk about movies had me thinking last night (as opposed to sleeping which I was hoping to do...) about all time favorite movies. So in no particular order here are my top 5 "oldies" movies:

1. Grease
2. Footloose
3. Dirty Dancing
4. The Sound of Music
5. The Wizard of Oz

And my top 10 more current flicks:

1. Hairspray (have you seen it yet????!!!)
2. Enchanted
3. Any Harry Potter
4. Speed (love Keanu too)
5. The Cutting Edge ("toe pick")
6. 27 Dresses
7. The Matrix (Keanu again)
8. The Incredibles
9. All X-men movies
10. Fantastic Four (both)

Favorite all time Live show:

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Well, there are my lists.
Didn't think too long and hard about them - but those are what come to mind.
More "chick flicks" in those lists then I would have thought.
hmmmm... interesting.

What are your top favorites?
Tell us your top 3, top 10, whatever you choose.
Oh and what's the best "live" show you've ever seen?

***PS*** if you haven't please read the post under this one too. :)
Have a great weekend!!!!!

Okay, here is my post. Stop blogging, get your crap in the car and start driving. Short and to the point. If I copy that about 100 times and post it over and over do I win???? You can tell where my priorities are.
Can't wait to see you. Hopefully Jenn will have some funny stories to post about after our "weekend getaway".

Oh my you guys are all such early birds. I'm sitting here drinking my coffee and reading your posts and I start typing and my fingers do not work yet! It is inconceivable that you can type at 6 in the morning!

Anyway, I think one of my favorite movies ever is The Princess Bride. I love that movie!!! I don't usually watch movies more than once, but I've seen that one a number of times. It has true love, rodents of unusual size, sword fighting, a little kissing (sort of)and lots of humor - who could ask for more?

Oh wait, I just conveniently thought of 2 more favorite movies so I'm just going to have to start a new comment:) Excalibur and Monty Python and the Holy Grail. "It's just a flesh wound..."

Hummm... I have a feeling that I may think of a couple more later... (It is probably a good thing that you didn't ask about books:)

hhhmmm...for some reason, my post did not "post". I am totally sneaking time in at work. So, I will try again. I would argue that Speed or The Cutting Edge are considered current flicks...That could be a debate for a whole different blog entry...he...he...I will have to ponder my list and get back to you. Sound of Music is definately one of my picks too! Deb- in response to your question a few posts ago, I ran into old friends/customers when I went to the Snowflake Scrap at Sturbridge, MA. Well, I do have to get back to reading The Great Gatsby with my friend. Talk to you later! Becky

My favorite movies are Star Wars (all of them), The Sandlot, and High School Musical (both).

The best live show I ever saw was a professional drummer that let us participate in the show. I also love watching my sister dance in her recitals.

Hi Max!

Okay I just reread the post below. Since when do you read "romantic" books?!? If a book isn't Harry Potter or a mystery I thought it held no interest for you (maybe that is why you are giving one away?). First that crazy state changes your taste in leading men and then your reading habits - I fear what is next on the list. Will you give up the traditional turkey sandwich/pretzels/yogurt for lunch in favor of some crazy Michigan concoction or will you continue that strange and scary double matting everything on your pages phenomenon? Only time will tell I guess...

Still thinking about my movies, I don't get out much on "dates" and when we do rent, I NEVER get to choose the movie. I love going to any kind of live show, plays, local music concerts, kiddy shows, etc. I will say that seeing The Lion KIng gave me goosebumps and brought me to tears - loved it!

Hope you have a great trip!

Ok, favorite movies:
1. When Harry Met Sally
2. Under the Tuscan Sun (I need to go to Tuscany someday soon!!)
3. Sleepless in Seattle
4. You've Got Mail
5. The Family Stone

Can you see a theme here? I am a romantic comedy kind of movie lover! Pathetic, I know. But I love 'em!

And my favorite show of all time would be Peter Pan. I saw that at an outdoor theatre in KC and it was just wonderful. (My sis and I used to have season tickets and would go to 5 shows each summer). My least favorite show of all time: Rent. Never mind about the awards, etc. We left at intermission! Weird and not our kind of show....

Well, Ty just woke up and it's getting close to going home time. He goes to his dad's tonight. If he doesn't cry. Last night he just cried and cried for me, so I kept him. Poor little guy. This is so hard on him....

Love you!

Hi Croppy!

I missed your cut off for the contest - but (maybe - depends on your time zone) But thought this was fun anyways. I'm a big fan of Princess Buttercup - but I never saw it with her. Guess we were just a little too old. I like all the ones that mentioned as well - although I have not yet seen Enchanted or 27 Dresses. But I'm sure I will see them and will like them. I just saw Hairspray last weekend - llamafarmboy took me for my birthday to see it live at the Weston Playhouse and I have to say it was just as good as the movie, the talent was just so amazing! JT did look very cute though.

Movies I really liked from this week - The Secret (a documentary type film) and Suburban Girl - really disliked - License to Wed - LFB loved it though.

Favorite all time movie - Somewhere in Time :)

Movie I can watch over and over and over - Pirates of the Carribean (just the first one though)

Happy February!
